We radically thinned the tree and removed the branches filling the gutter. It's still a lovely tree and now an acceptable companion!

I took out the water sprouts and also thinned a little, leaving a tree in which the fruit would be accessible and because open to the light, perhaps better ripened also.

Though the owner loved her crab she felt overwhelmed by the fruit which filled the gutter and covered her lawn
